My soap making journey started out of desperation. About four years ago, my skin started acting crazy from environmental as well as my aging process. This transition became worrisome, especially after so many dermatological skin care products just didn’t help. I had to find a way to protect and nourish this fragile armor.

A friend recommended homemade soaps, only they were of the melt & pour type and after a few tries, didn’t prove very helpful.   turned my attention again to homemade soaps, but now focused on the cold process method after watching an infomercial. Much credit goes to The Soapmaker’s Companion by Susan Miller Cavitch, I immersed myself into this book and in a few months, I was confident enough to make my very first soap.

Now let me tell you, this was life changing. The difference between feeling dry and itchy, and feeling soft and silky after a bath, amazing! There was no turning back.  Of course I was so proud, I had to give my family and friends the experience I was so excited about, and turned out they all loved it. My skin has thanked me ever since and continues to.

I’ve shared this experience with friends, friends of friends, and I was very much unaware, that so many of us were having the same or similar issues, guys and gals alike. They wanted more of my soaps because it made a difference. The joy I now feel with my creations, and the satisfaction my clientele have reported with each bar they use, is all worth it.
